Island Junction Shelter: firewood supply is approx. 20% of capacity; no trash; stove door won't latch securely.

A few diamonds are needed in the middle of the Tie Trail.
A few are needed about 100-200 yds east of the junction with Fuji Mtn. Trail.
Two slowdowns are on the trail within about 1/2-3/4 mile of Waldo Lake Rd. Will try to deal with all of these.

2/9/21: Salamanders (BD)-Logged out.Loop is now fully logged out and brushed. Additional blue diamonds were placed where needed at south end of loop. (Isaak Nickerson Trail)
Jimerson Horse Trail2/16/2020 Reported by STA.Sign missing at the junction of the Met-Win and the Jimerson Trails
SIGNCOMMENTS Someone has removed the large metal directional sign that was mounted on a post at the junction. The screws were removed in order to take down the sign. The post remains in place. I believe we ordered duplicates of all the directional signs when we built the Jimerson and High School to Crossroads trails. I will check and get a replacement up as soon as I can. Without it, the junction can be missed by someone not familiar with the trails out there.
Lava Lake Sno-Park1/8/2022 Reported by ONCW (JT). Skied Lava Flats Loop; found trail adequately marked; free of obstructions except for a 6" tree bent across trail just south of the Lava Flats West junction. Skiers in parking lot reported no problem following the Pumice Loop.

Placed new sign at the junction of the Maiden Peak trail and Tie-IN trail.

1/9/21. Reported by Winter Trails (RA):Could not reach upper bolt on sign at Maiden Lake.
I will add a few more ski diamonds going from Pct to Maiden Lake as we still got lost in a few sections
where diamonds were either covered by snow or covered over by hanging tree limbs.
7/15/20. Reported by CV (RA).Group maintenance on Maiden Peak Cabin.
We added water to the solar batteries, swept floor, placed rodent poison
in appropriate areas, swept pine needles off the roof, trimmed tree
limbs overhanging the wood shed and removed unwanted items left
from previous visitors.

The splitting maul needs a handle protector at the maul end.
Cabin needs a new broom.
I will purchase and take these items on next trip after checking with Jensens.

The winds on November 4th blew down many trees over the trails we worked. The Flagline trail had the greatest number of downed trees. While we have removed all of the trees on the trails and trail sections mentioned above, I am sure that all the other trails will need to be surveyed and logged out. Additionally, two trees, that straddled the Flagline trail were uprooted. We cleared the logs and roots out of the trail but there are large holes left by the uprooted tree roots that need to be filled with soil and rock.
