Our Work

As the nonprofit partner of the Willamette National Forest, Cascade Volunteers is working together with WNF staff to pursue a vision of public lands stewardship and appreciation that offers forest-wide support.

Volunteer Administration

We manage volunteer paperwork and data for the Willamette National Forest. We also recruit, train, and coordinate forest volunteers.

Volunteer Programs

Our regular volunteer programs include trail maintenance, invasive weed surveying, trailhead hosting, sawyer training, and more.

Stewardship Projects

With support from grants and generous donations, we are able to tackle several special projects on the forest each year. See our list of current projects below.

Education and Training

Our Skills Colleges are held twice a year in partnership with the PCTA to train new and returning volunteers. Attendees learn wilderness skills, trail maintenance techniques, gain certifications, and more.

Group Collaboration

We serve as a hub for all volunteer groups serving on the Willamette National Forest, providing information, resources, and opportunities to work together.

Community Connection

We work with agency representatives, individuals, and community leaders to make our public lands a more welcoming place for everyone.
