Near Miss – Near misses describe incidents where no property was damaged and no personal injury sustained, but where, given a slight shift in time or position, damage and/or injury easily could have occurred.
This is a Near Miss: A crew member or members had to react quickly in a way to prevent injury or property damage.
This is a hazard (no need to report): A crew member observes something that could cause injury or damage.
An Accident Report should be filed if either 1) Over $200 property damage was incurred; or 2) Medical attention other than minor first aid was required as a result of the incident
