Out of an abundance of caution, the majority of volunteer training and recruitment events will be virtual for the remainder of 2020. Videos and Live Learning Sessions are being created to ensure volunteers are ready for the 2020 field season. TRAIL SKILLS COLLEGES

Cascade Volunteers is proud to host 2 trail skills colleges each spring in partnership with the Pacific Crest Trails Association. Classes are free, and they are open to new and experienced volunteers and outdoor professionals. Our courses are taught by professionals and volunteer leaders who have extensive experience in the fields of recreational construction, trail maintenance, and leadership.

INVASIVE WEED IDENTIFICATION

Want to give back to the Willamette National Forest while you hike? Join us as a volunteer in our invasive weed surveying program! This training will introduce you to some invasive weeds found in our wilderness areas and teach you how to submit your survey reports.

CROSSCUT AND CHAINSAW TRAINING

Cascade Volunteers operates a USFS approved saw program that certifies forest volunteers each year. Courses are currently on hold for 2020, and expiration dates for saw certifications have been extended.
