Trail Skills College is a multi-day training event for volunteers to learn about trail maintenance and stewardship. This fun-filled weekend is a great opportunity to meet other active volunteers while learning the fundamentals of trail maintenance and stewardship. Courses are led by experienced volunteers and Forest Service recreation staff.
This annual event takes place on the third weekend in May. No prior experience necessary. All skill levels welcome.
Skills College is hosted in collaboration with the U.S. Forest Service.

Don’t forget, you can learn new trail maintenance skills by volunteering on a Cascade Volunteers affiliate trail crew any time. Most crews don’t require any previous trail maintenance experience. Knowledgeable and experienced crew leaders are on site to teach you the necessary skills.
