Cascade Volunteers Forest Skills College 2025

This fun filled weekend is a great opportunity to meet other active volunteers while learning the fundamentals of trail maintenance and stewardship. Courses are led by experienced volunteers and Forest Service recreation staff.
No prior experience necessary. All skill levels welcome.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTRATION
Two-step process:

2. Log in to your MyImpact page to register for each course or by clicking the class links in the schedule below.

Be sure to only register for one class per time slot. Class sizes are limited so sign up for desired classes as soon as possible.
SCHEDULE
COST: This is a FREE event open to all volunteers. Donations are appreciated. Optional donations accepted here: Click here to donate to support Cascade Volunteers. Your donation will help support Cascade Volunteers’ mission to connect people with the Willamette National Forest and surrounding public lands.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Available on a first-come, first-served basis. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
Showers/restrooms available on-site. Sleeping bags, blankets, tents and any other camping/sleeping supplies will not be provided. Please be sure to bring sufficient equipment for your own comfort.
Please tell us where you plan to stay by completing the RSVP form listed above (step 1).
- Reservable dorm style apartments on-site. Free. All apartments have a fully equipped kitchen and living area. Most have two bathrooms and four bedrooms with two single beds each, accommodating eight people. You will need to bring a sleeping bag/pillow. Also, you will need to help clean the apartment before leaving.
- Small RV and car camping. Free. Limited on-site options available.
- HJ primitive group campsite. Free. Small tents only. One-mile drive from HJ, portable toilet available.
- AL&L and Willamette National Forest are offering a limited number of tent and trailer/RV sites free of charge for the weekend at the following nearby campgrounds
- Mona Campground (off-site). Click here for information. CV is currently working with the WNF to reserve free sites for the weekend. Stay tuned for more information.

FOOD
- Hot coffee and water will be available throughout the weekend. You will need to bring your own food. There is plenty of community kitchen space available for use
- We are working to secure catering for Friday and/or Saturday night’s meal. This will be offered at no cost to participants. We will keep you updated.
