McKenzie Regenerative Travel Project

The McKenzie Regenerative Travel Project is a collaborative effort to support communities along the McKenzie River corridor. The goal of this effort is to bring stewardship tourists into our McKenzie River gateway communities, boosting local economies while improving access to recreation opportunities. Visiting volunteers will be lodging in the McKenzie River corridor, supporting local restaurants, and volunteering throughout the McKenzie River Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest. Tours are being led by First Nature Tours. Tours begin in Portland, OR and Eugene, OR.

April 16-18, 2021: Tree Planting with Worthy Garden Club
May 14 – 16, 2021: Trail Maintenance with Cascade Volunteers
August 27-29, 2021: Wilderness Restoration with Friends of the Central Cascades Wilderness
September 2021 (TBD Date): Mountain Bike Trail Work with Disciples of Dirt
