SUMMARY:Santiam Wagon Road Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the cultural heritage of the Santiam Wagon Road (SWR) and step back in time at the historic Fish Lake Remount Depot Saturday\, September 28th from 10 AM to 4 PM.  This family friendly event features living history\, site tours\, packstring demonstrations\, local Native American artisans\, historic wagons\, vintage cars\, and the Leland Gilsen Traveling Museum. \n  \nEvent Details\n\nFree admission! (Donations accepted on-site by check or cash only.)\nBring a picnic lunch and blanket! Limited refreshments will be provided\, but there will be no food vendors on-site.\nPeriod-accurate attire is highly encouraged (Late 1800s\, early 1900s). If you dress in modern clothing\, you’re likely to be an outlier at this event!\nImmersive events throughout the day such as a wagon parade\, pack string demonstration\, living history interactions and much more!\nActivities for kids (mule meet and greet\, activity table\, giveaways and more!).\nBe sure to RSVP (complete and submit this form to RSVP). While this is a free event\, the capacity of this historic site is limited. Not only a beautiful multi-use trail that traverses changing landscapes this treasured gem is steeped in rich history and offers the opportunity to travel back in time.  Ensuring the preservation of the SWR and its cultural heritage depends on us.
